3. @Andrew K- the solution for unsticking your power clean (IMO) is fairly simple. Work your LP on squats, deads and press hard. Form yes, but push the weights. Don't skip your weight workouts. Bottom line is get your basic strength up and then worry about why your power clean is stuck. Keep working form there, and it will increase as your other lifts do. As for diet, quit making excuses and "slipping" and eat a lot of meat, eggs and tubers and put the Taco Bell and Pizza Hut down. Follow the TTMJ "Tell Me What to Eat" post.

4. looks like a 435 squat and thats pretty damn impressive for a HS kid. Also really douchey to nit-pick on form from a pic. leave that for mainsite. Great job getting uour jids excited about training Terry!

7. Question for you guys: will there be a programmed workout tomorrow??? Trying to figure out which days to use as rest days this week. If not, Merry Christmas!!!

8. @Bert- archives indicate CFFB doesn't "close its doors" on holidays like certain boxes do. WOD will be up for both Mon and Tues. Rest on Wed.

9. Don’t worry I got my depth on this squat and was parallel. This picture was taken on the down phase of my squat, I would like to see some of you noobs hold perfect form with 440 on your back.

10. @Bert,
Yes we program on the holidays... speaking of...

HAPPY HOLIDAYS CFFB NATION!

11. Terry,

If you can't have perfect form on a certain weight, you probably shouldn't be doing said weight. I am nowhere near 440 on my squat, but I also don't kid myself and sacrifice form for a number.

12. Nick & Office JayBear - What is wrong with Terry's squat?

Enlighten me please.

13. 3 constants in life: death, taxes, and the CFFB programming schedule.

John, Terry's squat is too awesome.
Comment by Ingo B — December 23, 2012 at 3:34pm
14. Ingo - Merry Xmas. I think his squat looks good. I would ditch the running shoes and get the bar a hair lower on his back. Looks solid to me seeing as we have no idea at what point in the squat the pix was taken.

18. Raises a good question. I noted the shoes myself but have to figure most high school kids can't add $100+ dollar lifting shoes to the already demanding shoe arsenal (cleats, maybe basketball or wrestling shoes, track spikes, whatever). What's the next best alternative for a kid whose feet are probably still growing anyway? Chuch Taylor's like the cat deadlifting a house on Monday's post?

19. I wouldn't knock the squat from the pic. If I had to suggest anything for improvement, which we all need, is press that left knee/leg out hard- it is turning in. As for shoes, I squat barefoot most of the time, a fairly cheap option for anyone.

20. Terry - amazing weight man, I aspire to lift that heavy some day. I wouldn't normally post on a picture critiquing technique...but since John asked what specifically was wrong with your form....

It is obvious that he is in a collapsed position - knees are caving in and he is (self admittedly) on the eccentric portion of the movement. I can only imagine what his position looks like on the up-phase up if he can't even maintain external rotation on the way down. Look - I am no expert (yet) but it is obvious that his mechanics are breaking down and that is to be expected under such a load. It is up to the lifter weather or not it is worth it.

Some of you guys are professional assholes (Mex in this case) So fuck yourselves in advance and Merry Christmas. I agree with Jaybear.
